Phakic Intraocular Lens Implants work like contact lenses, except you don’t take them out at the end of the day. They are prescription implants, which are thin, and will correct your distance vision imperfections. This surgery is unique in that the lenses are placed inside your eye avoiding the need for reshaping the cornea. By not having to reshape the cornea, sharper vision is usually gained.
