How Do Phakic Intraocular Lenses Work?
Phakic lenses are different from other intraocular lenses in the fact that the eye’s natural lens will not be removed when implanting a Phakic lens. However, they are the same in the sense that both lens types are designed to be implanted permanently, though Phakic lenses can be removed in the future if other issues with your eyes develop.
Phakic lenses are approved to correct myopia, commonly referred to as nearsightedness, and astigmatism.
